The research objective was to identify the implementation of the principles of
Good Governance in the Department of Community Empowerment and Village of
Central Sulawesi using Sedarmayanti's theory and indicators of Accountability,
Transparency, Participation, and Responsibility. This research employed a
descriptive approach and a qualitative design to collect data through library
research and field research including observation, interviews, and
documentation. Four informants were used in this study: the secretary, the head
of development and evaluation of the village development division, the head of the
personnel sub-division, and staff. The research findings indicated that Good
Governance principles are demonstrated in the Department of Community
Empowerment and the Village of Central Sulawesi through four indicators of
Accountability, Transparency, Participation, and Responsibility. It revealed that
the Office of Village Community Empowerment in Central Sulawesi Province has
not properly implemented the principles of Good Governance, particularly in
terms of budget transparency and information sharing. Keywords: Transparency,
